  • Your Saudi licence remains valid for at least the period of the permit requested
  • You are 18 years of age or older
  • Your Saudi licence is not suspended or cancelled

Documents required

  • A clear copy of your Saudi driving licence (both sides)
  • A copy of your valid national ID or iqama
  • A copy of your passport (data page)
  • Two 4×6 personal photographs on a white background
  • The completed application form (we send it to you ready to fill)

How issuance works

  1. Step 1

    Send your documents

Message us on WhatsApp with photos of the required documents. We review them and tell you straight away if anything is missing.

  2. Step 2

    Review and check

We verify the details against your Saudi licence and passport so nothing delays issuance.

  3. Step 3

    Submit the application

We file the application with the issuing body and track its status step by step.

  4. Step 4

    Collection

We tell you as soon as it's ready and arrange collection or delivery to your location.

Important notes

  • The permit does not replace your Saudi licence, you must carry both when driving abroad.
  • The permit is not valid for use inside Saudi Arabia.
  • Acceptance varies by country, and some require a minimum residency period or additional insurance, we confirm your destination's position before issuance.
  • Car rental companies may impose extra conditions such as a minimum age or a credit card in the driver's name.

Common questions

How long does issuance take?

It depends on how complete your documents are and the issuing body's workload. We give you an accurate estimate when we review your file, and recommend applying well before your travel date.

How long is the permit valid?

It is normally issued for one year, with longer periods available in some cases. It can never outlast your Saudi licence.

Do I need a separate permit for each country?

No. A single permit is recognised across a large number of countries, though acceptance is not universal, tell us your destination and we'll confirm its position.

Can residents apply?

Yes, provided you hold a valid Saudi driving licence and a valid iqama.

Do car rental companies accept it?

Generally yes, presented alongside your Saudi licence and passport. Some companies apply extra conditions that vary by country.
